There’s a Place for You in This Campaign

Meet Cynthia

I’m Cynthia O. Ford, and service has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’m an Air Force veteran, author, speaker, consultant, grant writer, and former educator and juvenile justice professional. Over the years, my work has allowed me to serve children and families, help businesses and nonprofits grow, connect organizations with funding and resources, and work alongside people who are trying to make their communities better. Those experiences are a big part of why I’m running for South Carolina House District 57. I believe in the people and communities of this district, and I believe there is so much more possible for us. I’ve seen the challenges people face, but I’ve also seen what can happen when people have access to the right resources and opportunities. My priorities are agribusiness and small business, access to physical and mental healthcare in our rural communities, affordable housing, and community safety. These are issues that affect whether our families can thrive, whether our businesses can grow, and whether our communities have the opportunity to move forward. I don’t believe one person has all the answers. I believe in listening to people, bringing people together, finding resources, and doing the work.
