Safe, stable and affordable housing is an important part of a strong community. Families should have opportunities to rent or own quality housing without being priced out of the communities they call home.

My focus includes expanding pathways to homeownership, encouraging rehabilitation of vacant and deteriorating properties, supporting responsible housing development and connecting communities with programs that can help families remain safely housed.

Housing is also connected to economic development. Stable neighborhoods help support schools, local businesses and the overall strength of our communities.

Where someone lives should not prevent them from receiving quality healthcare. Rural communities need access to primary care, specialists, mental health services, preventive care and emergency services.

My focus includes strengthening rural healthcare access, supporting efforts to recruit and retain healthcare professionals, expanding the appropriate use of telehealth and mobile services and improving access to mental health and substance-use services.

Community wellness also means addressing barriers that affect health, including transportation, prevention and access to timely care. I will support efforts that connect residents with services before a health concern becomes a crisis.

Community safety begins with strong foundations. It includes safe roads and bridges, well-maintained infrastructure, prepared emergency services, supported law enforcement and schools where students and educators can learn and work in safe environments.

My focus includes improving roads and bridges, supporting first responders and public safety professionals, addressing dangerous and deteriorating infrastructure and ensuring rural communities receive their fair consideration when state resources are allocated.

Strong schools are also part of strong communities. I support safe learning environments and attention to school facilities and the resources students and educators need to succeed.
